Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a home sauna installation cost?

For most San Jose homes, installation lands somewhere between a few thousand dollars for a straightforward kit on an existing slab and considerably more for a custom room that needs a new pad and a panel upgrade. The three swing factors are site prep, electrical and room size. We give you a fixed itemized number after a site visit, and the estimate is free. Call 408-617-8448.

What are the electrical requirements for a sauna heater?

Most electric heaters want their own dedicated circuit rather than a shared outlet, sized to the heater’s rating and the room volume. Small units may run on 120V, but anything heating a real room typically needs 240V. Older homes here often need a panel upgrade first. We check your panel on the first visit so there are no surprises.

How long does an installation take?

A kit on prepared ground is usually three to seven days on site. A custom room built from framing up runs four to eight weeks from final drawing to first steam. Outdoor cabins that need a poured pad take longer. You get a real schedule before we start.

Can I install a sauna without a permit?

Sometimes, but rarely for anything with a hard-wired heater or a new structure. Permit requirements depend on the heater, the footprint and whether you are altering the building. We check with the city as part of the quote and pull whatever is required, so the work stays on record and passes inspection.

Do you install saunas I bought elsewhere?

Yes, and it is a large share of what we do. Send us the model and the parts list and we will confirm it suits your space and your service before it ships. We take delivery, count every piece and build it to the manufacturer’s instructions.
